What's in a name?

Midwestern. Midwesty?

Baker.

Brewer.

Traveler.

Coffee Roaster.

Cider Enthusiast.

Chicken Mama.

Cat Lady.

Labrador Lover.

When I tried to come up with a name for this space, I tried to take into account all the things I love, including where I life, and I was at a loss. A lot of the names I thought of had already been taken. I have settled for Driftless Baker and Brewer, although I am also a coffee roaster and chicken and cat lady. 

I plan to post about my hobbies, my pets, my travels, and some of the things I'm piloting for my eventual café, whose name I still have not figured out.

It will come to me.

I want to build something out of all of these interests. I want to leave something for my community. I want to provide a place of employment for adults in my community who have disabilities. I want this space to have meaning and to bring joy. 

For now a name eludes me, but it will come.
